In the 1980's Mechan developed their smallest electronic safety switch, the B-TYPE. Now the demand for fast, safe access to hazardous areas has led to the use of more safety interlocked access points on machinery.
The new, DINKY safety switch, is even smaller, and makes it possible to interlock even the smallest guards with our fail-safe electronic safety system.
The DINKY safety switches are based on the original Mechan electronic safety switching technology, which has over 30 years proven record of safety and reliability. Like all Mechan safety switches, the DINKY safety switch was designed for harsh environments, with the electronic switching encapsulated into an ABS housing. It is immune to water, hot hosing, dust, oil etc. and the small size makes it easy to hide or to use on very small access points. The 8 - 10mm switching distance means they are tolerant to misalignment and guard wear over a long operational life-span.
The DINKY safety switches are supplied pre-wired with 5 / 10 or 15 metres of cable. Longer cables can be ordered if required. Maximum cable length 100m Approvals
